Spring (April-mid June): This is relatively quiet season due to fewer tourists.
Excellent trout fishing, particularly in the month of May.

Summer (mid June-mid Sep): This is the most popular season to visit the park.
Hiking in park interiors using backcountry permits
Canoeing and Kayaking in 1200 kilometres of stream, rivers and lakes
Camping in more than 1200 campsites


Fall (mid Sep-mid Nov): This is the time when the park offers its tourists spectacular fall colors.
Hiking in park interiors and along Highway 60 trails

Canoeing, Boating and fishing


Winter (mid Nov- March end): Snowy and cold winters offer tourists multiple activities to do in the park.
Cross-country Skiing - Algonquin has three trail networks named Fen Lake Ski Trail, Minnesing Trail and Leaf Lake Ski Trail cross-country skiing. They offer trails of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty.
Winter Camping is available in campsites located near Highway 60.
